Coupon Organizing 101.

There are many different ways to organize your coupons. I have found that the binder method works best for me.

[I purchased my binder, baseball card holders, and dividers from Office Max.]

I have divided my coupons into three categories with up to eight subcategories each.

Food
Beverages
Breads
Cereals
Dairy
Ingredients
Meat
Snacks

Cleaning
Cleaners
Dishes
Laundry
Miscellaneous
Paper

Health & Beauty
Body Wash
Dental
Deodorant
Hair
Lotion
Make-up
Medical
Shaving

I mainly shop at Publix, CVS, and Walgreens. So, I've given them each their own divider to hold store specific coupons and rebate money. I also keep a pair of scissors and a calculator in my couponing binder. I spend about thirty minutes every Sunday to go through my coupons and throw away the expired ones. You will end up throwing away about 50% of your cut coupons. This is good because it means that you are only buy an item when it's at it's lowest price.

Pictures of my binder coming soon!
